An official reception was held to celebrate the Independence Day of Georgia and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Czech Republic.
On June 8, an official reception was held in Prague to celebrate the Independence Day of Georgia and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Czech Republic.
Ambassador of Georgia, Tea Maisuradze, addressed the guests. She spoke about the historical struggle of Georgia for freedom, European values and the importance of independence. The ambassador spoke about the friendship and fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the Czech Republic, thanked the Czech side for its firm support of Georgia's foreign policy priorities.
Within the framework of the event, the Georgian singer working in the Czech Republic, Jaba Gegeshidze, performed the anthems of Georgia and the Czech Republic. Georgian musical pieces were performed by singer Eka Mamaladze and pianist Nikoloz Nikvashvili.
The official reception was attended by representatives of the Czech legislative and executive authorities, diplomatic corps accredited in Prague, academic circles, business sector, media, Georgian diaspora.
