Meeting with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic
On June 9, 2023, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Czech Republic, Thea Maisuradze, held an introductory meeting with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Miloš Wistrchil.
At the meeting, the parties discussed following topics: the issues of cooperation between the two countries, the priorities of Georgia's foreign policy, the NATO summit planned for this year, the Russian war in Ukraine, the current occupation of Georgian territories by Russia and European security.
The Ambassador provided the President of the Senate with detailed information on the process of implementing the 12 priorities of the European Union. Within the framework of the meeting, the importance of granting Georgia the status of a candidate country was also emphasized.
