The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces the 2025 Grant Competition: “Support for Diaspora Initiatives”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announces the launch of the 2025 grant competition “Support for Diaspora Initiatives.”
Objectives of the grant program:
➡️ To support members of the Georgian diaspora and encourage their involvement in advancing Georgia’s state interests abroad, as well as in strengthening the country’s international image.
❗️Priority areas of the 2025 grant competition include:
Raising awareness about Georgia among younger generations;
Promoting the deepening of cultural and economic ties with host countries;
Implementing initiatives that support Georgia’s foreign policy objectives;
Promoting Georgia’s economic potential and Georgian products abroad;
Strengthening diaspora media outlets in order to foster connections between Georgians abroad and their homeland;
Supporting sports and other activities among diaspora communities to promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen ties among compatriots.
✅ Who is eligible to apply?
Georgian citizens who have resided abroad for at least one year prior to application and who hold the right of residence in the host country for at least one additional year;
Applications may be submitted individually or jointly with a Georgian citizen residing in Georgia.

🏆 Winners will be determined through a competitive process by a commission composed of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Administration of the President of Georgia, the Parliament’s Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus Issues, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, and the Ministry of Culture of Georgia.
